Translation- Nick Hornby: About a boy

It was the first book by Nick Hornby that I had ever read- and he did a very- very good job this time.
Maybe because he uses rock music to express feelings, and we can follow the fights of Kurt Cobain for death, that appears only in the background at first, but later his effects on our "heroes" and the news about his suicide shock everyone, so we are worrying not only for the main characters, his chance also grips us.Of course the book mainly isn't about it, it's only a side-story.
The main character is Will Freeman, a childish adult, who cannot deal with his extra large freedom. And when he meets Marcus, a matured teenager with many problems with his childhood, he begins to feel responsibility for him. In addition to this, SHE appears also on the scene... He thinks, he can make a conquest of her only with lies... He gets inside himself deeper and deeper, he doesn't know, where is he from, what does he want from life. And finally we can ask ourselves: who is the boy in the title?
The roles changed back: Marcus learnt how to be a real teenager, how to enjoy his childhood, and Will grows up,however, he even relishes it.
It isn't so hard to find out ourselves, just we have to know, whom can we ask for help... Yes, they are our friends.
